and we like to thank Alan Archer for his participation:

(1) Bio:

Soi Dog Foundation is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization, based in Phuket Thailand, who look after over 200 dogs at our shelter.

(2) How important is Twitter for the company’s communication strategy?

“We are trying it out new as a way to expand our network of supporters and grow donations and sponsorships, not yet long enough to say how important until we see results.”

(3) How much time do you spend twittering daily / weekly?

“At the moment about 30 minutes a day as I have set up a few scheduled tweets using tweet later as I have a full time job as well as volunteering at the Dog Shelter, once I get more followers and exclude all the timewasters and spammers I will probably spend a little more time.”

(4) Are there any (quantitative) objectives for the Twitter channel, e. g. a certain number of followers that needs to be matched?

“Yes I want to have 10,000 followers and generate donations and sponsorships for the dogs at the shelter and create an awareness of what we do and oour mission to care for stray dogs here in Phuket Thailand.”

(5) How would you describe the relation between your company blog & your twitter channel?

“Do not have a blog, no time to do a blog as well as my full time job and the duties at the shelter.”

(6) How do you control the Twitter channel? What key performance indicators do you record?

“Followers, donations generated, sponsorships, and web page visits with twitter as the source of traffic.”
